Sam's Story: Finding Faith at The Branch

When Sam Reed and her son, Ollie, first began spending time at The Branch, it was simply a welcoming place to do homework after school. The baristas’ warm smiles, the relaxed atmosphere, and the little things—like Ollie being remembered by name—made it feel like more than just a coffee house. For Sam, one of the most meaningful parts of The Branch was the prayer box. She and Ollie often slipped in prayer requests, including one asking that they might find faith.

It was at The Branch where that prayer was answered. Sam recalls their first time reading the Bible together—using one of the Bibles left out for anyone to pick up. As they read, she realized that they needed to start going to church if they were going to understand God’s Word more fully. That simple step of opening the Bible at The Branch became the beginning of their faith journey.

“Life since finding Jesus has been amazing,” Sam shares, “Definitely not easy, but amazing. It is wonderful to have a perfect Father to give all your grievances and worries to. We’ve been more at peace as a family.”

Now, Sam has the joy of serving as part of The Branch team, working in the same place where she first encountered God’s love. “Serving at The Branch, where I found God, has been nothing short of amazing! It’s great to have a job that entwines with Jesus, where prayer is encouraged and hugs are allowed. I get to see people from my church and meet so many other people.”

Her hope is that others who walk into The Branch feel the same warmth, kindness, and compassion that she and Ollie did when they first came. “I hope people feel the love of God here,” Sam says, “And that they know they can come to us baristas for prayer—or just a hug.”

Sam’s story is just one example of how All for One Ministries is making an eternal impact in the lives of people right here in our community. What began as a homework stop for a mom and son became the doorway to faith, peace, and a life rooted in Christ.
