  • The Bible
We believe the 66 books that make up the Old Testament and New Testament to be the full record of God’s Word to mankind. Different men, while writing in their own style and personality, were moved by the Holy Spirit to record God’s Word. The Bible is fully inerrant and trustworthy as our final and sufficient authority for all life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). It is the final and sufficient Word from God to His people and should never be added to or taken away from (Revelation 22:18-19).
  • The Trinity
We believe in one living and true God, existing in perfect unity as three equally and fully divine parts: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19-20, John 14:26, John 15:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2, 1 Timothy 3:16)
  • God The Father
We believe God the Father created all things for His glory according to His will (Revelation 4:11), through His Son, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:16). He upholds all things by the Word of His power and grace, exercising sovereign headship over all creation, providence, and redemption (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3). He is perfect and just in all of His ways (Deuteronomy 32:4).
  • God The Son
We believe that Jesus, the eternal Son, moved by love in accordance with the will of the Father, took on human flesh (John 1:1; 1:14; 1:18). Conceived through the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit, He was born of a virgin, Mary. He, being fully God and fully man (John 14:8-9), lived a sinless life. He sacrificially shed His blood on the cross of Calvary in our place to bring redemption to all who put their faith in Him. He was placed in a tomb, visibly rose three days later, and ascended into Heaven to be seated in glory at the right hand of the Father (1 Timothy 3:16).
  • God The Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit brings glory to God the Father and God the Son in all He does. He convicts the world of sin (John 16:7-8) and empowers those who put their faith in Jesus to walk in righteousness (Titus 3:5). He imparts new spiritual life to the believer, bringing him/her into union with Christ (Luke 3:22, Romans 8:9-17) and the Body of Christ (Romans 12:4-8). The Spirit sanctifies, guides, instructs, comforts, equips, and empowers the believer toward greater Christlikeness (1 Corinthians 3:16; 12:11-13). He permanently indwells the believer at the point of salvation and bestows spiritual gifts to the believer for Christlike living and service (1 Corinthians 12:4-5; 2 Corinthians 12:12).
  • Mankind, Sin, & The Need for a Savior
We believe that, in the beginning, God created man in His own image and likeness, male and female and free of sin to glorify Himself and commune with Him (Genesis 2:24). By the temptation of Satan, but in the sovereign plan of God, man chose to disobey God (Genesis 3:1-6). Disobedience toward the will and Word of God is sin, and when sin entered the world, it brought death and condemnation to all mankind (Romans 5:12). Because God is perfect and just, He cannot exist in harmony with sin. The wage of mankind’s sin is death. Sin left mankind in desperate need of a Savior (Romans 1:18, 1:32, 3:10-19, 6:23). All people will be judged by God for their sins, and God’s judgment alone will determine whether they spend eternity with Him in Heaven or apart from Him in Hell (Revelation 20:11-15).
  • Salvation
We believe that Jesus died for the forgiveness of all sins for all mankind. He was the propitiation for all sin – the final substitutionary atonement – Who lived a flawless life, yet willingly died a sinner’s death (1 John 2:1-2, 2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus’s death on the cross was the sole and complete payment for all sin, fully satisfying the wrath of God. Jesus paid the price of sin so that broken sinners could be reconciled to the heart of their perfectly loving and perfectly just Father (Romans 5:10-11). Salvation occurs by the grace of God and through the faith of the believer when he/she makes the personal decision to turn from his/her sin and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8-9). At the point of salvation, each person is made a new creation by the Holy Spirit and declared a righteous son/daughter before God (Romans 6:6; 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 4:5). Salvation is a gift of God through the finished work on the cross of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 10:28-29, 1 John 2:19, Romans 8:35-38, 1 Peter 1:3-5). Baptism is an external expression of the internal work of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s heart. However, baptism in and of itself does not bring salvation (Acts 2:38, Galatians 3:22-29, Matthew 28:18-20).
  • The Church
We believe that, upon placing one’s faith in Jesus, the believer is born again as part of the Body of Christ – the Church – of which Christ is the Head (Ephesians 1:22, 4:15, 5:23, Colossians 1:18). God’s Word instructs believers to gather locally to devote themselves to worship, prayer, the teaching of the Word, fellowship, baptism, communion, service, and outreach (Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 14:26, Matthew 28:18-20, Hebrews 10:24-25). The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.
  • Unity
We believe that the Body of Christ is stronger together than apart. Throughout history, God’s Word has not changed, but the methodology by which congregations approach ministry has become nuanced, which has led to the formation of denominations. Denominational and non-denominational thought are the result of differences of opinion by flawed individuals seeking to honor God and keep pure doctrine according to their conscience and understanding of His Word. Despite diverse nuances in the methodology of honoring God, God calls His people to live in unity according to His Word (Romans 12:9-21, 14:19, 15:5-6; Acts 4:32-34, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Galatians 3:28, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
  • Christian Living
We believe that it is the duty and privilege of every believer to engage in fellowship with God and other believers through active participation in a local congregation and by participating in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). All believers are instructed to be followers of Jesus by living like Him and not for themselves (1 John 3:6-7). They should not conform to the ways of the world, but rather live by the Spirit and not by the flesh (Galatians 5:16-21, Romans 6). By obeying the Word of God and yielding to the prompting of His Spirit, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1, Galatians 5:22-23).
