From Darkness to Light: Rikkell's Story

Thank you for saying yes to becoming a monthly donor and strengthening All for One Ministries' sustainability so that together, we can glorify God and serve our neighbors.

Rikkell's story perfectly illustrates the reason why we do what we do. Take a moment to read about her transformation.

Rikkell's journey began in the state of Washington, where she struggled with drug and alcohol addiction throughout her life. At 31, she found herself in a jail cell in Decatur County, Indiana, at the lowest point in her life. It was there that she gave her life to Jesus, sparking the beginning of a remarkable transformation.

Upon her release, Rikkell knew she needed to make a change. She found her way to Speranza House, a ministry partner of All for One Ministries. There, she met Liz Owens, a board member of All for One and a volunteer therapist/spiritual director at Speranza House, and Chaylyn Sefton, our Ministry Coordinator and a former counseling intern at Speranza House. With their support and the guidance of the Speranza House staff, Rikkell participated in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), a program funded by a grant from All for One Ministries.

As Rikkell progressed through her recovery, Chaylyn introduced her to her husband, Alex Sefton, our Executive Director, and Samantha Baldwin, The Branch's General Manager. Recognizing her potential and determination, Alex and Samantha offered Rikkell a second chance with a barista position at The Branch Gathering Place + Coffee House. Her smiling face soon became one that customers grew to love, and her hard work and sweet spirit made the coffee house better!

"This ministry not only impacted my new way of life but has been there to show me how to live this beautiful life God has always had planned for me! My life is now filled with the light of God. Full of hope and purpose," Rikkell said.

Upon graduating from Speranza House, Rikkell received a $500 grant from All for One Ministries to help her start her new life. Today, she is thriving as the Office Manager for a local trucking company, has started her own business selling hair care products, and is an active member of The Rock Bible Church. She is also part of Alex and Chaylyn's small group, living a life she once thought impossible.

"I support All for One Ministries because the work they do is changing people's lives! I was traumatized, broken, lost, and thousands of miles away from everyone and everything I had ever known. But All for One Ministries was there to love and support me out of the darkness and into the light!"

Stories like Rikkell's demonstrate the incredible impact of our Kingdom Builders. Their faithful generosity supports programs that transform lives, fund valuable initiatives for local churches, sustain our school-based youth mentorship program, Generation Hope, and so much more.

We support All for One Ministries through monthly giving because we see the importance of being involved with an organization that is actively seeking to be the hands and feet of Christ (Matthew 25:34-40). A41 takes daily action to assist those in need and to draw others closer to the Lord. We are blessed to have such a ministry in our community.
