All For 1 Kicks it out of the park

By: Bill Rethlake, Greensburg Daily News

GREENSBURG — Fans are abuzz as preparations draw to a finish for the Third Annual All For 1 Ministries Kickball Classic at the Greensburg Youth Sports Complex Sunday.

The Games will begin at 1 p.m. as All For 1 Ministries takes to the field to promote great weather, fitness, fun and unified worship at the Youth Sports Complex.

“We originally started the Classic as a way to make a little extra money and get people together after church. It was a big deal for the first year, but attendance lagged a bit for the second year. We’re hopeful this year brings lots of people out to cheer on the teams,” Executive Director of the All For 1 not-for-profit ministry Alex Sefton said.

Registration fee is $100 per team, and teams may be of any size. As of press time Tuesday, five teams had registered.

Through hard work, athletic prowess, strategy and good old-fashioned sweat, shiny new first and second place trophies and bragging rights await the winner. High school age competitors are permitted.

“We wanted a creative way to get people together, and kickball just sounded like fun,” Sefton said.
